I’m so far behind in posting sessions, I wasn’t sure where to begin. The Holidays overwhelmed me with the blessing of abundant work, and I cannot express in words how honored I am to have had the chance to preserve these warm families memories of 2011. We had a difficult time in our own family as we lost- unexpectedly, my husband’s mother. One could only imagine the beauty and happiness this angel spread everywhere she went. For Brent’s family, it’s an ongoing healing process that will go on forever, missing, loving, telling tales. In all the sadness, it’s been a special bonding time for this family.
Every family I post deserves their own beautiful recognition from this past holiday season, so I apologize that I’m grouping all these holiday portraits together, but know that you are all very important to me, I can’t thank you enough!

Sweet Emery woke up for his shoot with one of those “here we go” fevers….just enough to make mom and dad cringe. Not enough to get rid of me:) He was a trooper, and probably couldn’t help but smile knowing he had the sweetest, SO sweet parents.

I love this session….I love the sweet girliness (sp?) If that is a word…I loved, the parents, and I LOVE this sweet little face.

I’ve really fallen behind (yet again) on updates. SO here it goes!
The September mini was a blast. It zipped by like always, and I was so excited to see everyone as they walked in the door. Some new faces, some I’ve seen before, and one that was new to the world:)

And here I am trying to sneak in some more fall….Who could resist making this gorgeous baby girl a lil pumpkin!!! She was super sweet and her mommy took a leap of faith driving a good distance to see me…I’m so glad she did

So, This was one happy session full of giggles and lollipops and water. Two families took turns, one inside, one outside, brilliant…a break from the heat! I took away happy memories and a great lesson…know the golf course sprinkler timers. These were a couple very special families and I was honored to work for them, and so fun to see baby Ava a few weeks older:)

I was thrilled to see the a client from some time back had found me since I started back up. We have both expanded our families since then, and in addition to her handsome little guy she has the cutest most loveable baby girl. What a pumpkin:) That being said, I feel that I may be trying to WILL some sign of fall upon us, yet we are still shooting in 97 degrees. I guess I’ll have to settle for hanging out in the Autumn section in the craft store smelling cinnamon candles for now….A girl can dream.

Although by some photographers standards, one to two shoots a week may not be busy…I just had to have my site PW emailed to me. I just can’t seem to keep up with the FB, blogging, marketing, and business side of things. Maybe that’s because editing and well, life are my main priorities. Nothing makes me more happy than the thought of a client opening their first picture. I love to imagine them sitting and staring and obsessing over their little one’s images.
What I really want to say though, is thank you. My friends, my family and my clients for all the compliments and ooohs and awes that keep me motivated and make me relish what I do. Some people know my family had a tough patch last month, thank you to everyone for the warm wishes and prayers, I believe that’s what made everything alright.
On that note, I’ve included a gallery of my most recent four shoots- my favorite shots:)

What an honor to get to photograph these friends:) Big sisK was spunky and sweet and just of so cute. Her new little brother gave me the sweetest on camera smile….Just melted me:)

I could have had a nicer greeting from big sis at this shoot…..Instant hugs. Perhaps she knew I was used to discussing princesses and Clifford. I think she was impressed to hear that I recently did photos for Snow White herself. Or maybe she was permanently elated at the fact she now has a handsome little brother, a real live baby all for her:)

I could go on with more pics from this shoot…but I’ll stop:) Loved this fam!!!!

Baby K below was born back to back with this princess baby S…It made for a busy couple days. Newborn shoots generally last 3+hours…but I loved every minute. This shoot was great…we just moved from one pose to another with ease. And just look at her….
Congrats

I will post more of this amazing shoot after her mommy has picked out her birth announcements..don’t want to ruin a surprise !

My dear friends, the L family had a sweet baby boy. What a darling peanut to add to a darling little family with a darling big sister. I’m so happy for them….

The E family was just so easy to work with….I’m honored they chose me to capture little Aidrics’ first time at the beach. They came all the way from Missouri and even though we have plenty, I think they brought some sunshine of their own here…..

And just when it got hot, and everybody was done…he let me sneak in this…what a trooper:) I mean really…

I believe there is energy all around us…
I like it when it’s good. It took my breath away a little to pull into the gate to do this shoot. I could just remember pulling into that gate nine years ago with my my amazing son. Little did sweet hearted Baby Bryson and his family know, this was where my husband and I first lived when we had our first baby. So, this was special for me, lots of memories. In the very place we took these precious family pics, I laid in the grass with my little two week old baby:)
There was a great energy and the shoot reflected it. Happy, peaceful parents, happy, silly baby (big boy).
One of my favorite family shots to date:

All’s well that ends well…the phrase that keeps running through my mind when I think about the very wet, very windy spring shoot. I have to say, my dear participants were so sweet and patient, all the while backdrops were blowing and wet, soggy ground surrounded us. It all paid off, and thanks to some very stunning children and their families we got some shots to remember.

I love me some itty bitty baby. Our household is at max capacity however, so now I just have to love everyone else’s. While I miss that newborn everything, I know what comes along with it. I’d say I’ve done my time in that respect in and moving on to the next glorious stage. One thing I miss most is that newborn smell. SO when the H family left me alone in the nursery, I had to give those little clothes in the closet a sniff. So sweet. I could close my eyes and just go back.
This may be one of the luckiest little guys ever. If the pictures don’t speak for themselves, I can tell you he has landed himself a warm, and loving family and home. Mom and dad are still beaming, and I bet he knows it. I have to thank them for letting me take over the house for a morning and for trusting me to cuddle and coo with baby E. I can still feel the love.
